Find Relief With Chiropractic

Chiropractic has been around since 1895 and has been increasing in popularity ever since due to its success in treating everyday musculoskeletal issues. In fact, most studies consistently rank chiropractors #1 in patient satisfaction both for effectiveness in treating patient conditions AND for cost effectiveness when compared to other healthcare professions. The bottom line: Chiropractic works!

What exactly does Chiropractic do?

Chiropractic adjustments help by restoring motion to joints, taking stress off of the nervous system and allowing the body to heal. The adjustment decreases pain by blocking the nerve signals that carry pain, releases endorphins into the area, reduces muscle spasm and increases range of motion.

Subluxation

Chiropractors often refer to a condition called a Subluxation. This is a slightly confusing term since MDs use the term subluxation to refer to a dislocation. In Chiropractic, the term subluxation refers to a dysfunction of one of the bones in the spine that can compromise the normal function of the nervous system. The chiropractic adjustment aims to remove the subluxation, or dysfunction, and return the spine and nervous system to a state of proper function

What is the "popping" sound I sometimes hear during an adjustment?

The “popping” sound, also known as a cavitation, are gas bubbles in the joint that are released due to the sudden change of pressure inside the joint during the adjustment. The noise is completely normal and does not accompany any pain or discomfort. In fact, most people who frequent chiropractors state that the release they feel with the noise is their favorite part.

Does my Insurance Cover it?

Most insurances these day have at least some chiropractic coverage, however, each insurance company and each plan is different. The best way to find out what your benefits are is to bring in your insurance card and have Lake Country Chiropractic verify them for you. We are in-network with most insurance companies and will do our best to explain your coverage before starting care.

What if I Don't Have Insurance??

If you don’t have insurance or you have no chiropractic benefits with your insurance, we still offer affordable care. We do offer a pay at time of service discount for those patients that don’t have insurance or do not want to use insurance. In order to be eligible for the discount, you must pay at the time of service. Care can also be financed through Care Credit who usually offers a 0% interest option.
